Double Orange Peel Quilt Block (with Denim Background)
"This is an easy variation on a traditional orange peel quilt block. I used my accuquilt orange peel die to cut the shapes but you can use another kind of orange peel template if you don't have accuquilt. For my background fabric I used old jeans but you could easily substitute this out for quilting cotton of course! I layered up two orange peel shapes per quarter block and used up leftover charm pack squares, oddly shaped fabric scraps as well as cut up crumb blocks to get a super scrappy look! I used simple raw edge applique for this block and I will be joining the rows and adding additional quilting using my favorite quilt-as-you-go technique in a second installment....watch this space!"
