Primary TechniqueApplique
MATERIALS:
- 1/4 yard terry toweling fabric OR a hand towel
- 1/2 yard binding fabric or packaged double fold binding
- Fabric scraps for appliqué
- 1/4 yard fusible web product
- Accuquilt Go! fabric cutter
- Accuquilt Go! Critters (55030)
- Accuquilt Go! 6" x 12" mat (55112)
- Accuquilt Go! strip cutter 2-1/2" (55017)
CUTTING DIRECTIONS:
- Cut 1—8" x 10" rectangle from toweling
- Cut 65" of 2-1/2" wide strips on the bias for binding
- Cut 1—appliqué shape with fusible web backing
SEWING DIRECTIONS:
- Round corners of toweling rectangle.
- Draw a 5" circle on paper (or use a saucer).
- Fold paper circle in half to use as pattern for neck cutout.
- Center half circle on top edge of toweling rectangle and trace.
- Cut along traced line.
- Bind curved neck edge.
- Bind outer edge of bib, leaving a 15" tail at back neck edges for tie.
- Center an appliqué shape on bib. Fuse according to manufacturer’s directions.
- Machine appliqué edges of appliqué shape adding detail as desired.
