MATERIALS:
- Fabric 1—7⁄8 yard fabric for wide strips
- Fabric 2—2⁄3 yard fabric for narrow strips
- Fabric 3—2⁄3 yard fabric for medium strips and binding
- Fabric 4—1/4 yard fabric for medium strips
- Backing fabric—1-1⁄2 yards
- Batting—45" x 50"
- AccuQuilt Go! fabric cutter
- AccuQuilt Go! strip cutter 3-1/2" (55032)
- AccuQuilt Go! 10" x 24" mat (55113)
- AccuQuilt Go! strip cutter 2-1/2" (55017)
- AccuQuilt Go! strip cutter 1-1/2" (55024)
CUTTING DIRECTIONS:
Fabric 1:
- Cut 7 —3-1/2" strips across the width of fabric (WOF)
Fabric 2 :
- Cut 12—1-1/2" strips across WOF
Fabric 3:
- Cut 8—2-1/2" strips across WOF
Fabric 4:
- Cut 3 —2-1/2" strips across WOF
SEWING DIRECTIONS:
- Layout fabric strips in chosen color order.
- Pin and sew strips right sides together, keeping one edge even throughout piecing.
- Press seams toward narrow strips, Fabric #2.
- Square up and trim sides of quilt top to 40" wide.
FINISHING AND QUILTING:
- Layer batting between quilt top and backing.
- Pin or baste layers together.
- Machine quilt with an all-over design.
- Add binding, mitering corners.
OPTIONS:
- Add more strips to make throw longer.
- Add monogram or appliqué accents.
- Choose school colors.
- Add borders to make throw larger.
