Amy Garro
Amy Garro is a stay at home mom and quilter. She graduated from Notre Dame in 2009 with a Theology degree and does some light writing, but for the most part she fills her time with giggles and stitches on her blog, 13 Spools.
Amy started crafting at age 4 and sewing at age 7. She mostly sewed garments, but jumped fully into quilting in 2011 and hasn’t looked back since! She loves both modern and traditional quilts, but focuses on designing and creating modern quilts. Her style is structured, striking, mathematical, and geometric. She leans heavily on the use of strong lines when creating compositions, and draw inspiration from architecture. She writes patterns both for self-publication and for magazines.
