I think these would make adorable little wall hangings to match a quilt you have made in the same fabric. I am thinking I Have some leftover fabric from my daughters bed set I made for her. If so, I am making some of these for her wall. These are great for a lot of different uses!

Thank you for explaining the reason for mug rugs! I've seen patterns and pictures and wondered what's the difference between this and a coaster or this and a placemat..they are in between! I'll probably give this a try soon!
