Instructions

Take two pieces of fabric and cut them into 4.5-inch strips.

Cut those strips into 4.5-inch squares.

Lay out your squares in the pattern that you will be using them.

Sew your three rows of squares together.

Once you have your rows sewn together, press your seams. Do this in alternating directions.

Sew your rows of squares together.

Once all of your squares have been pieced together, finish by pressing your remaining seams.

Just starting out making quilts (haven't made one yet) would like to know what that rubber looking thing on your sewing machine is? Love the 9-patch, I'm sure I can do this quilt....excited about the Block of the Month series.
