Quick and Easy Library Tote from Vintage Pillowcases
From the Blogger: "We never have enough empty totes at our house, so I made this one up using vintage pillowcases from my stash. It takes advantage of the existing seams and structure, resulting in a bag that's nicely finished and sturdy enough to hold an absolute ton of library books."

Using pillowcases for totes is so practical. We made a bunch of these of a similar design but with drawstrings for mission school bags and they sew up quickly. And they toss in the wash too which makes it practical for picnic supplies or school field trips, and they are light weight. Add a flapped pocket from the band for some extra storage. Super idea!

What a cute idea. I have been looking for a beginning project for my 15 yo daughter to make. This is it! It is fast, and simple enough that kids could even add their own bling and imaginative ideas. I think making one with a little girls pillow case pattern would be perfect for a tote for our one year old. With babies, you can never have enough adorable totes for outings. Thanks for this pattern! Love it!
