I like the way this quilt block looks and feel like you could vary the fabrics for some real eye-popping goodness. For instance, you could make the strips around the middle square either complement or make it a different value for contrast. Or you could use all different fabrics for another look. At any rate, it would be fun to try different fabrics and experiment. It would be like painting with fabric!
