Builder's Star Quilt Block
The Builder's Star Quilt Block is a play on the carpenter's star quilt block design. Where the carpenter's star places a star within a star, the builder's star is a bit more manageable for less experienced quilter. This particular star quilt block pattern places a star within a diamond within a star using half-square triangles and flying geese. This is the perfect kind of tutorial for using up complementary scraps or cobbling together a rainbow quilt pattern in time for spring! The builder's star would look great in blocks or re-sized to be a full quilt.

thanks for the great tutorial on the builder's star. I wish you had it in baby or wall hanging sizes, too.
