The author trimmed her blocks at the 4th row I'd also check at the end and trim to exactly 8.5".

I'm new to quilting, so I really want to this out because it doesn't look too complicated. And I love that it's a scrap quilt! It's the perfect excuse to clean out my fabric stash.

I have read several posts of Red Pepper Quilts and always been very excited by all of her tutorials that she has written. This one is no different. It is a short, but very clear precise Log Cabin Pattern if you have made a Log Cabin block before. If not, it is still written in a way that is easy enough to understand and follow. I have been thinking about making a scrap log cabin for awhile now and am sure after seeing this one that I will be making her pattern for sure!
