These instructions are still not clear. There are no directions how to go from a solid brown diamond to skinny frames. I have read them at least four times.

Kathleen, if you look at the instructions for piecing the center square (#6) , this is where you place a square of coordinating fabric (a little smaller than the brown diamond) on top of the brown. Then you fold over the brown edges the same as described for #5 of the goose sections instructions. Hope that makes sense. The brown is rolled down over the coordinating fabric and stitched in place.
