This bright and whimsical fabric collection is a pure "delight!" Delight by Jackie Shapiro for French Bull is a floral collection in several saturated background colors with bold black and white prints. The focus fabric is a floral blend of all the colors in the collection: hot pink, sunny yellow, leafy green, sky blue, cheery orange, rich brown, and dark magenta. Stark black and white swirls, stars, butterflies, and flowers give the pattern a sketchbook feel. Shots of color filling in random sections of the print add to the unfinished air of the fabric.

The other prints in the Delight collection pull colors and motifs from the focus fabric. Black and white outlines of flowers make a bold impression against dark raspberry, light mossy green, and tangerine backgrounds. The outlines of the petals in each flower overlap, as if the petals were translucent, giving these prints the same sketchbook feel as the focus fabric.

Delight's most abstract prints are white swirls and curlicues against a high-contrast black background and an airier light blue background. These contemporary prints echo the swirls from the focus fabric. The black swirl provides an especially strong counterpoint to the bright, intensely-hued colors of this collection, making it a wonderful background or border print.

With its bright shades and whimsical patterns, the Delight fabric collection makes a perfect palette for contemporary decor. It's sophisticated enough for spaces like living rooms, kitchens, and guest rooms, but it has a groovy vibe that also lends itself well to kids quilts.
