It's not easy coming up with new designs to give your home decor a homemade look with professional quality patterns. That's why any quilter looking to give their home decor new life will enjoy Home Sweet Quilt Fresh, Easy Quilt Patterns from Jillily Studio. Not only does this book provide refreshing and sweet quilt patterns that will have everything from your porch to your bedroom lighting up, but also helpful tips and keen advice that will help you succeed in designing your own home decor designs in the future.
What immediately makes Home Sweet Quilt so special is how encouraging it is to get quilters to really see into the world of home decor. Author Jill Finley offers not only a gorgeous series of quilt patterns that you can easily find a place for in your home, but also a sense of aesthetic that introduces to readers some of the many ways a quilter can take a vision or moment of inspiration and turn it into something wonderful. The book provides introductory quilting tips and techniques, as well as templates for applique designs, but also small introductions to each project that will get you inspired to start on your pattern.
Every pattern has its own unique style, and what I found most enjoyable about Home Sweet Quilt was that within this variety also exists seasonality. Finley doesn't simply provide you with classic and contemporary; she also gives you patterns like "Petal Pushers" (pg. 89) and "Crossroads" (pg. 16) which possess delicate designs and undeniable warmth perfect for spring and summer. At the same time, there are more earthy patterns like "Cottage Bloom" (pg. 68) and "Winding Down" (pg. 41) which will get you ready to relax when it gets chilly out. The book is also organized according to room, so finding exactly what you're looking for (and then some) couldn't be easier.
