As I outgrew my childhood t-shirts growing up, my mom would put aside my favorites and save them in a box. "When you get older, I am going to take all of these special t-shirts someday and turn them into a big quilt," she always told me. To this day, all of those t-shirts are still in a big box somewhere in my mom's house. She still talks of this quilt she's going to someday make, and she remains hopeful it will be completed one day. I am sure she is intimidated by the process, but I doubt she realizes how super easy it is to create your very own t-shirt quilts!
Inside T-Shirt Quilts by Linda Causee, you will learn how to bring new life to those old, outgrown t-shirts from your youth. T-shirt quilts are such a great way to save so many different types of special memories. Choose from seven different quilt themes including: Our Favorite Team, Family Reunions, Favorite Pastimes, High School Memories, Our Family, Walk for a Cure, and A Few of Dad's Favorites.
If you're like my mom and have never attempted to make a quilt before, then you're in luck because this book will teach you everything you need to know. Beginning on page 42, you will learn helpful tips to working with t-shirts, as well as detailed instructions on how to make a quilt. Information includes fabric, rotary cutting, strip piecing, foundation piecing, adding borders, and finishing your quilt.
