Being new to hand applique, I was happy to come across this article as I'm having trouble with how to finish off the thread at the end. I really like the tip about using the glue basting to help with the inner curves where fraying seems bound and determined to happen. I've thought about using fray check there but it seems like the readers on this blog like the glue baste much better. I'll give that a try on my next project. Now, I'm off to find more projects and applique tips!
