This Easy Peasy Ironing Board Cover is brilliant. An easy quilt pattern like this is multipurpose. On the one hand, you make a fun quilt project. On the other hand, you make something you'll actually use all the time. It's a win-win situation. The reason this ironing board cover is so easy is that it uses elastic to secure it to the ironing board. We love the gray-scale look of this ironing board because it's subtle, but if you love bright colors, feel free to mix it up. Be sure to wash your ironing board cover fabric in hot water before you begin the project. When you're ironing, you don't want the fabric to bleed onto your clothes. Just a word to the wise.

This is a super practical, yet pretty item that would be quick and easy to make following the excellent instructions found in the tutorial. She gives great advice and tips, so I feel as though anyone could make this ironing board cover successfully. She even gives tips on what type of fabric to use and where you can find good deals on fabric!
