"The baby playmat is designed as a flower garden with various flowers, leave, butterflies,ladybugs, bees and even a rabbit hiding below the flowers. If you like little pieces and appliques, you will enjoy doing it. The individual patterns of flowers and other animals are available in the link with step by step tutorial.all the patterns are prepared by english paper piecing and then appliqued to the fabric. Even a little toy bee is connected to the playmat so that the baby can play with it. The baby can also feel the ears of the rabbit and pull them."

Such a pretty mat and what a good idea! I have a brand new little nephew who I will be making this for and I have already started making some of the motifs. A house, a tree, flowers, some children, a ball - ideas keep popping into my head.
