Bright and Cheery Fat Quarter Crib Quilt
This Bright and Cheery Fat Quarter Crib Quilt is a great way to learn how to sew a baby blanket. The small dimensions of this DIY baby quilt makes the project less time consuming than a regular full-sized quilt. Make a fun and funky border for your quilt to practice your bordering technique. You can also use complementary colored fabric to give your quilt a pop of color. Finally, if you know how to do free-motion quilting, you can practice your technique with this project. The little baby will appreciate your wintery handmade creation.

I agree that this little quilt would be a great project for a beginning quilter, or for someone who used to quilt and wants to reignite their passion for fabric crafting. It is really nice to be able to pick your own colors either from your stash, since it is a small quilt or by going to the fabric store to shop for coordinating prints that suit the colors of your nursery or your friend's. Nice gift for a friend.
