I am confused. I thought that the Dresden plate design was made like a flower.

Hi Deborah, you are right. Traditional Dresden plates look like flowers. This quilt does not use Dresden plates. Instead, it uses the wedge shape that traditionally makes the petals of a Dresden plate to make stripes all across the quilt. Hope this clears things up! -- Editor of FaveQuilts
