This is such a cute idea! It would be perfect to use as a picnic blanket for cross-country road trips. I also like the other commenter's idea of making a specific state stand out and giving it as a gift. A little heart over a special location would be a cute way to personalize it, too.

What a fantastic way to use up your scraps - especially if you love family road trips! You could also give this quilt to a family member or close friend who lives in another state and pick out a special fabric to make that state stand out!
