Even without a precut charm pack (5 inch by 5 inch squares) as the instructions indicate, this Valentines apron is just what I was looking for. Using a rotary cutter can speed up cutting the small squares. Might be worth it to make this apron reversible with a solid color for the underside.

For sure using this pattern to get rid of some of my leftover red fabric from Christmas. Cute gift idea!

This is a super cute apron and a great way to use some of your stash fabrics and make a nice gift too. You could personalize the gift by adding vintage linen pieces as part of the apron or add rick rack or little pom-poms or lace edging. A couple of pockets would be nice too. I would also make the apron tie longer so it could be wrapped around and tied in front. Great basis idea that can be elevated to a more personal gift by simple additions as listed. What would you do to add to this basic pattern?
