Amish Star Squared Quilt Block

This easy Amish Star Squared Quilt Block is made from flying geese and half square triangles. The quilt block pattern these create is, as the name suggests, boxy and square. The star block shown here is sewn from white and mustard-colored fabric. When these blocks are sewn together, new patterns begin to emerge. If you want to keep the square motif more obvious in your finished quilt, alternate your mustard-yellow fabric with at least one other color to keep the boxy quilt block designs distinct.
