Materials List

Fabric Needed For Each Block:
- 20 x 2.5-inch squares green
- 7 x 2.5-inch squares background
- 5 x 3.5-inch green for 1/2 square blocks
- 5 x 3.5-inch background for 1/2 square blocks
Making the Half Square Triangles:

Place a 3.5” square of the Green and Background fabric right sides together.

Draw a diagonal line across the squares.

Sew 3/4” away from each side of the line drawn. Cut along the drawn line and press to the green side.

Cut along the drawn line and press to the green side.

Repeat steps 1-4 for all 3.5” squares.

Square up each half square block to 2.5 inches. By trimming them to size this will ensure that all edges are straight, sewing and ironing on a bias can cause the fabric to stretch out of shape.
Sewing the Block Together:

6 Rows will be sewn together using the layout below pressing each row in the opposite direction.
It is important to nest the seams to ensure that the intersections line up. -
Sew the 8 rows together to complete the block!
