Life can't get easier when you find patterns that are made of precut fabrics. When I find a designer I really like and they sell charms, stripes, I purchase usually 5 or 10 packs of their charms. The nice thing about doing it that way when ordering online you will see in person which fabrics you are really drawn to. I always have charms on hand in case I need to make up a quilt present.
