This is just beautiful. What a perfect quilt for a little girl. I see these beautiful patterns and think I can do that. Other than rag quilts, I have never had the nerve to jump in and make something like this. Has anyone here that is truly a beginner made this quilt? The different sizes scare me. I am always afraid they won't match up...lol.!

Tammy, can do this! I thought about quilting for years and the longer I postponed, the more afraid I became. When I FINALLY jumped in and did it, I couldn't stop. I have stayed in comfort zone, the fun no-stress zone. Jenny at Missouri Star Quilt Company taught me everything through her excellent tutorials. Cratsy is good, too. There are is oodles of free teachers on YouTube. Go for it, friend!!

ooo this one is hard but I think Quilting will take gold for me, I like the challenge of cutting up a perfectly good piece of fabric so I can sew it back together. :-) This one is beautiful.

I have been looking for something that I could make for Christmas presents and have accumulated some fabric, but I really need some help on getting down the basics. This looks like a great start in that direction. Alright FaveQuilts! I love how the instructions are setup for us beginners and will take us to more advanced projects!

I'm looking at the practicality of each craft. A child or elder adult could get very good use out a quilt daily, while Christmas ornaments are seasonal and not otherwise particulary useful, except as embellishments for a tree, etc. I vote QUILT all the way.

I love to quilt, and this is beautiful. But this time of year I choose to do projects that don't take much time; I would do this later though!
