Just finished my scarf and I love it. I added ball fringe at each end for a bit of whimsey. Thanks for the great upcycled idea.

Well darn! Now my secret is out! I've been doing this for years, only with my childrens clothes. Something my grandmother passed down to me. Before I was quilting my grandmother gave me quilts for my children. I can remember one Christmas where my children spend all morning sitting in the living room with their quilts spread out on the floor, pointing to patches and saying things like "that was my favorite dress, or I remember when I wore this to __ and ____ ". Their Great Grandmother created some fond memories from their old clothes, and they charish those quilts to this day.
