I made three of these for my grandchildren for Christmas last year. They went together very quickly. The longest part was cutting all the blocks! The kids love them and won't sleep without them!

This would be a good quilt to make when you have the itch to do something quickly and get it finished. How many UFOs do we have sitting around in our craft or sewing rooms? This one could be a scrap buster and could keep you from having another UFO in your home. And you would have a very attractive quilt, great for a gift or a nice throw to freshen up the dcor in your living room.

I call myself a professional rag quilter. I can make a couple of them a day! I have always wanted to make a more traditional quilt but, honestly...the binding is what scares me. It looks sooo hard! Are any of you here new or somewhat new at quilting? Is this really a good beginner pattern?

This is a great beginner pattern. In fact, it is the one I my first class did when I began. Binding is easy. Check out YouTube. Lots of good info on bindings.

Where I live I belong to a Project Linus Guild and finding quilting patterns that are quick, easy and can also go scrappy are some of the particulars I look for in quilt patterns. Upon seeing this quilt, I just had to check it out and your tutorial and requirements meet my requirements wonderfully!
