Prairie Flower Basket Wallhanging
Make a gorgeous wallhanging that's inspired by vintage patterns from days gone by with this simple springtime tutorial. This Prairie Flower Basket Wallhanging is the perfect tutorial to celebrate spring, and is a classic design that traditional quilters will immediately recognize. This DIY wallhanging is a mix of traditional quilting and applique, and is covered in free motion designs to give the flower blocks some edge. The best part about this wallhanging tutorial is that it's broken down into three detailed parts, from piecing the blocks together to completing the binding, so it's great for those new to quilting. Get inspired by Laura Ingalls and create a pretty prairie quilt that Nellie Oleson would be jealous of!

Really cute wall hanging, love the way the flowers look and the basket doesn't look too difficult to make. The quilting adds a lot to this pattern and since this is a wall hanging, machine quilting should be doable for those of us who don't have a long arm machine. One could use any colors or any type of patterned material to make this quilt and it would be really fun planning and trying out different fabric combinations before making this.

Beautifully sewn basket wallhanging. I hope mine looks as good when I learn to make it. Will try to use the same colors of fabrics.
