Make pretty free quilt block patterns with this gorgeous and simple star quilt pattern for beginners. This block pattern for quilting uses the turnover triangles technique in order to create a start that is sure to shine bright on any quilt. Using several prints of fabric in addition to the white background, you could easily create several star quilt patterns out of scraps you already own. Love this star block..have made two block for cushions..black floral centre stars and pink and blue floral background...one has gone toLondon UK and the other to Vancouver BC as gift to Sister and future daughter in law...Both comments very favourable ...LOVE IT THANKS

This is a wonderful pattern! I made a queen-sized top (hasn't been quilted yet) for our bed, but I used only 3 colors. Two for the star itself, and a white on white for the background.
